Palmer Delivers Big-Time Mark in High Jump at Duke Invitational

DURHAM, NC – The Rider men's track and field team closed out day two at the Duke Invitational on Friday evening, highlighted by a standout performance from Michael Palmer in the high jump.

Palmer cleared a personal-best 2.11m to finish second in a highly competitive field, marking the Broncs' top performance of the meet and a height that could potentially qualify for the NCAA First Round.

Quotes and Notes
"It was a great day for Michael Palmer. It was a huge clearance for him, and it is likely an NCAA first-round mark. It is very exciting for Michael and Coach Siley. He has definitely stepped up his game this year. He had a few good attempts at the next bar, and hopefully, he gets that in the coming weeks. - Rider Director of Cross Country, Track & Field Bob Hamer.

Up Next
The Broncs return to action tomorrow, April 11, continuing competition at the Duke Invitational while another group travels to compete at the Bison Invitational.
