LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Rider University women's track & field graduate student Kristin Siegle (Estell Manor, NJ/Buena Regional) has qualified for NCAA East Preliminary Championships in the 1500 meters, the NCAA today announced. Siegle broke her own program record by 2.5 seconds, running the race in 4:22.79 last weekend at the Trial of Miles. The 2021 NCAA East Preliminary Championships are slated for next Thursday through Saturday in Jacksonville, FL.    

Siegle won the 1500 at the Rider 5 Way on April 3 and the Monmouth Spring Invitational on April 18. She also finished third at the Philadelphia Metropolitan Collegiate Invitational on April 24. On each of the four occasions she's run the race this spring, she's shaved time off of her program-record marks.
