Francisco Gomez Olano (Cadiz, Spain/University of Cadiz) assist in the third minute as the Rider University men's soccer team defeated Siena, 1-0, to open the 2020-21 season. With the win, the Broncs are 1-0, while the Saints dip to 0-1.
For the game, Rider outshot Siena, 14-4, including a 6-1 edge in shots on goal. Rider senior goalkeeper
Pablo Gatinois (Madrid, Spain/Lycee Francais de Madrid) made one save in securing the clean sheet.
The Broncs return to action next Thursday, when they play host to defending MAAC Champion Iona. Kickoff from Ben Cohen Field is scheduled for 4 p.m.
