LEWISBURG, PA – The Rider University women's swimming and diving team sits seventh after day one at the Bucknell Invitational. The Broncs scored 79 points on the opening day of competition. Towson currently leads the way with 464.5 points.
Rider opened the finals session of day one with a 13th-place finish in the 200-free relay.
Connar Melcher (Mohnton, PA/Governor Mifflin),
Kylie McMahon (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's),
Giavanna Lupi (Vineland, NJ/Vineland), and
Sarah Fondacaro (Sewell, NJ/Washington Township) combined for a time of 1:38.13. The time ranks second in the MAAC this season.
Individually,
Kayla May (Columbia, MD/Oakland Hills) reached the B-Final in the 200-IM, placing 12
th with a time 2:06.41. The time is the fastest in the MAAC this season.

- A disqualification in the 400-medley relay final made the Rider 'B' squad of
Julia Stellato (Fairfield, CT/Fairfield Warde), Fondacaro,
Alexa Torres (Lyndhurst, NJ/Lyndhurst), and
