What You Need To Know
- Saturday's home opener will be broadcast on ESPN3.

- The Broncs will be wearing gold shoelaces in Saturday's game in support of Go4TheGoal, an organization which raises money to support children battling cancer. During cancer treatments, children and their families spend an inordinate amount of time in the hospital. Go4theGoal provides grants to fund programs and renovations that improve hospital environments and services for patients and families.

- Saturday is community day at Alumni Gym. Rider is offering $5 general admission tickets to those who live in Lawrenceville, Pennington, Hopewell, Hamilton, Princeton, Trenton, Rosedale, West Windsor and Ewing at the ticket window with valid ID.

- The Broncs erased an 18-point halftime deficit last time out against La Salle to force overtime, but the Explorers got hot in the extra session, shooting 3-for-4 from long distance, as La Salle outscored Rider 17-8 in the overtime period. Lenaejha Evans (Conway, SC/Conway) scored a career-high 20 points, 18 in the second half and overtime. Raphaela Toussaint (Kingston, Ontario/Lincoln Prep) added a career-high 15 rebounds in the contest.

- The Broncs lead the all-time series 23-5, including wins in the last two meetings. The most recent meeting came in 2016, when Stella Johnson, Julia Duggan, and Kamila Hoskova each scored in double figures as the Broncs cruised to a 77-60 victory.

- Rider has made five-straight appearances in the MAAC Semi-finals. The Broncs were named MAAC Champions for 2019-20 for the first time in program history.

- A year ago, Rider finished 8-18 overall and earned the no. 7 seed in the MAAC Basketball Championship. The Broncs ended the season strong, going 6-4 in their final 10 games. In the MAAC Championship, the Broncs knocked off 10th-seeded Monmouth 44-41 before upsetting second-seeded Quinnipiac 62-50.

- Rider was picked to finish fifth in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Broncs return all but one member of last year's team.

- Reigning MAAC Co-Rookie of the Year and Second-Team All-MET guard Makayla Firebaugh (Winchester, VA/James Wood) earned Preseason Second-Team All-MAAC honors. The sophomore averaged a team-high 11.0 points a season ago along with 4.4 rebounds. Toussaint was tabbed Preseason Third-Team All-MAAC. A fellow member of the All-Rookie Team a season ago, Toussaint averaged 7.5 points and 5.2 rebounds while shooting 47.6% from the field and 47.8% from three.

- Amanda Mobley (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh) now has 300 career assists, breaking a tie with Manon Pellet '16 for 10th in program history. Next on the list are Becky Hower '05 and Debbie Snyder '94, who each finished with 318.

- The Broncs have been dominant coming out of the halftime break. The Broncs have out-scored their opponents 45-19 in the third quarter this season, including a 16-0 run as part of an 18-4 quarter against La Salle.

- St. Francis (NY) has started 0-3 this season, including a 74-66 setback against fellow MAAC foe Manhattan in their season opener. Fruzsina Horvath leads the team at 15.7 points per game, including a 20-point performance against Penn last time out. Look out for Jaila Lee on the offensive glass, 14 of her 15 rebounds this season have come on that side of the ball.
