LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Rider University women's swimming and diving team opened the 2021-22 season with a 174-88 dual-meet loss to Seton Hall in the Coppola Pool Saturday afternoon.
The Bronc women won three events in the meet.
Rider opened the meet with a victory in the 200-medley relay.
Kayla May (Columbia, MD/Oakland Hills),
Allison Stewart (Newtown Square, PA/Lower Merion),
Maddie McSorley (Philadelphia, PA/Nazareth Academy), and
Kylie McMahon (Annapolis, MD/St.Mary's) combined to touch the wall at 1:46.30, over two seconds ahead of the field. The time is a new Coppola Pool record by over a full second.
May then won the 100-back by nearly a second, finishing with a time of 58.46.
Stewart got the final Bronc victory in the 100-breast with a time of 1:07.48.
