With the win, Salar Carrera will face Cornell's Radu Papoe tomorrow.

Nicholas Salazar (Palmetto Bay, FL/Westminster Christian School) and Peter Komosinski (Lake Hopatcong, NJ/Laurel Springs) also competed in doubles Friday, but fell to Sebastian Pinos and Andrew Teixeira of Saint Francis (Pa.), 8-2.
