LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Rider University volleyball team saw its seven-match winning streak come to an end Sunday afternoon, falling in three sets to Fairfield. The Broncs' record now stands at 9-9 overall and 7-2 in the MAAC. The Stags extend their winning streak to eight matches and now sit at 12-6 overall and a perfect 7-0 in league play.
The first set was tight with 11 ties, but tied 22-22, The Stags took three straight points to claim the early lead.
In the second, Fairfield scored six-straight after the Broncs got the opening point of the set. That was all the Stags needed as the set never got within three points again.
The Stags were dominant in the third set, jumping out to a 7-0 and never looking back on their way to closing out the match.

Morgan Romano (Oviedo, FL/Hagerty) led the Broncs with seven kills, her 14
th time leading the Broncs in kills this season.

Pamela Loh (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Hendrick Hudson) had 14 digs to pace Rider, the 11
th time she has done that this season.
BRONCS BY THE NUMBERS
- The Broncs hit just .034 in the match to the Stags .236. Rider had 29 total kills, to 39 for Fairfield.
- The Stags had 18 blocks to four for Rider.
- Eight Broncs recorded a kill in the match. Along with Romano,
Jillian Chan (Watchung, NJ/Watchung Hills Regional) and
Tori Schrader (Grantville, PA/Lower Dauphin) had eight.

Anilee Sher (Poughkeepsie, NY/Spackenkill) had 25 assists.
- 12 players recorded a dig in the match, led by Loh. Sher finished with nine and Romano added eight.
- Loh had a pair of aces, her fourth match this season with multiple aces.
