MAAC Unveils 40th Anniversary Tennis Teams

Crawbuck twins, Jedlinski headline Rider honorees

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) celebrates its 40th Anniversary throughout the 2020-21 academic year, continuing its mission to provide student-athletes the opportunity to succeed in both academics and athletics.

The 40th Anniversary Tennis Team highlights some of the best student-athletes in MAAC history. MAAC Tennis traces back to 1982, when Army won the first MAAC Championship for the men. Marist College leads the conference with 10 men's championships while Fairfield University and Manhattan College each have five championships of their own. On the women's side, Fairfield has 10 titles followed by former MAAC members Loyola University with seven and Fordham University with six.

The MAAC Tennis Championships are set to return Apr. 24-25, 2021 at the Mercer County Tennis Center in West Windsor, New Jersey. The following are Rider's honorees on the MAAC 40th Anniversary Team:

Women

Caitlin Crawbuck, 2003-07

Crawbuck was a two-time All-MAAC selection, earning Second Team honors in 2005 before moving up to the First Team in 2006. She won 17 consecutive matches to end the 2005-06 season with an 18-1 record and won the first three matches of the 2006-07 season. Along with twin sister Devin, led Rider to its first-ever appearance in the MAAC Semifinals.

Devin Crawbuck, 2003-07
Caitlin Crawbuck's twin sister compiled 29 singles wins and 29 wins in doubles competition in her Rider career. She had nine singles wins and 10 doubles victories as a senior in 2006-07. She played second singles for the 2005-06 Broncs and compiled 11 victories, second most on the team. As a junior, she was 11-6 at first doubles when teamed with her twin sister and was 3-3 against MAAC singles opponents.

Alison Noll, 2013-15
Noll spent two years with the Broncs after transferring in from Mercer County Community College and had one of the most successful runs by a Rider women's tennis player in program history. In her two years playing top singles, Noll went 16-11, including a 7-2 mark in 2014-15.

Kristina Paich, 2006-10
Paich was a four-year contributor at the top singles and doubles flight for the Broncs, totaling 17 singles wins and 21 doubles victories.

Cyd Melendez, 2016-20
The most recent Bronc on the list, Melendez recently graduated after having compiled 20 singles wins and 28 doubles victories, while playing out of the top two flights for four years.

Men

Casey Jedlinski, 2005-09
Jedlinski was a four-year starter for the Broncs at top singles, earning 28 singles victories. He posted a 10-4 singles record as a freshman in 2005-06 and finished his Rider career with 11 singles wins in 2008-09.

Will Haight, 2006-10
Haight was one of the Broncs' most accomplished doubles players of all-time, earning 27 victories in his four years out of the top two flights. He also totaled 15 singles victories in his time at Rider.

Rollie Malfitano, 2010-14
Malfitano was a four-year starter for the Broncs at No. 1 singles. He had a season-high five singles wins in his freshman campaign of 2009-10 and finished his career with 10 singles victories.

Chris Popso, 2014-17
Popso was a three-year starter at the top singles and doubles flights for the Broncs, earning 11 singles wins and 12 doubles victories.

Ryan Ciaccio, 2015-19
Ciaccio began his Rider tennis career with a 12-win season out of the No. 6 flight in his freshman year of 2015-16. In his three years with the Broncs, he'd total 22 singles wins.
