LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Rider University women's tennis players
Amanda Binder (Princeton, NJ/West Windsor Plainsboro H.S. North),
Angelica Garcia (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Academia Maria Reina) and
Sydney Jeffrey (Port St. Lucie, FL/Lincoln Park Academy) have been named to the MAAC Women's Tennis All-Academic Team, the league office today announced.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
Garcia led the Broncs in both singles (3) and doubles (5) wins in an abbreviated season, playing primarily at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles. Binder, who made her third appearance on the All-Academic Team in as many years, also contributed two singles wins and four in doubles. A MAAC All-Academic Team honoree for the second-straight year, Jeffery had one singles victory.
