Cross Country Teams Earn USTFCCCA Academic Honor

The Broncs were honored for their work in the classroom

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Both the Rider University men's and women's cross country teams received United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team honors as announce by the organization on Monday afternoon.

"We are very excited to see the hard work of our student-athletes rewarded," Rider Head Coach Bob Hamer said. "They work very hard to be excellent in all phases of their lives."

To earn the honor, teams were required to post a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the Fall Semester. For a team to be considered, it must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution. The team grade point average includes all eligible varsity student-athletes.

The Bronc men had a term GPA of 3.4, while the women had a team GPA of 3.5.
