- The Golden Griffins enter Saturday afternoon's tilt was a 5-22 overall record and a 4-14 mark in MAAC play after falling on the road to Iona on Thursday night. Canisius has dropped seven straight road contests. Two Golden Griffs are averaging in double figures, led by D'Jhai Patterson-Ricks with over 14 points per game. In the first meeting between the two squads, Patterson-Ricks had 25 points thanks to going 12-of-16 at the free-throw line. Danielle Sanderlin is the other Griff scoring in double figures with 13 points per game. Sanderlin is also grabbing nearly eight rebounds per tilt as well.

- Head Coach
Lynn Milligan earned her 163rd win at the helm of the program last Saturday at Manhattan. She passed her former coach Eldon Price (162) for the most wins by a head coach in Rider women's basketball history. She currently has 166 wins and counting. Â Â

- Last time out, three players scored in double figures as Rider beat Fairfield, 68-60, on the road on Thursday. The Broncs took a one-point lead at 47-46 into the fourth quarter thanks to
Tracey Goodman beating the third-quarter buzzer with a three from the wing. In the fourth quarter, Rider held Fairfield to 26 percent shooting to escape with the win.

- Rider has won at least 19 games for the third time in last four years. The Broncs first season with 19 or more wins as a Division I program came in 2016-17. The most wins for the team in a single season in 26 which the team accomplished during the 1981-82 season while competing in the NJAIAW Division II.

Stella Johnson became the first player in program history and the eighth player in the history of MAAC women's basketball to score 2,000 career points last Thursday at Quinnipiac.

- Following the 64-57 win over Xavier in mid-November, Rider moved into CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top-25 Poll. The Broncs are currently ranked 13th in the poll.

- On February 10,
Stella Johnson was named one of 10 candidates for the 2020 Nancy Lieberman Award as announced by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. Stella is the only mid-major player on this list that includes players from the BIG 12, AAC, BIG EAST, Big Ten, Pac 12 and SEC.

Stella Johnson became the only active Division I women's basketball player with 2,000 career points, 700 career rebounds, 400 career assists and 300 career steals. She is also closing in on 100 career blocks with 91 and counting. Â

- On November 26,
Stella Johnson was named the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) Ann Meyers Drysdale Women's National Player of the Week. It marked the first time in program history that a Bronc was named the USBWA National Player of the Week and also the first time a player from the MAAC picked up the weekly accolade as well. Stella is one of just two active players in all of Division I, along with Princeton's Bella Alarie, to be have earned both USBWA National Player of the Week and USBWA National Freshman of the Week honors in their careers.

Stella Johnson set a single-game program record with 41 points in the victory over Lipscomb on November 22. The previous record for points in game by a Bronc was 37 by both MyNeshia McKenzie and Nancy Carroll. She was the first player in the MAAC to score over 40 points since Victoria Rampado had 41 against Siena in January of 2018.

Stella Johnson became the first player in program history to earn MAAC Preseason Player of the Year honors. Stella was also a unanimous selection to the Preseason All-MAAC First Team. Two other Broncs picked up preseason accolades as senior
Amari Johnson landed on the Preseason All-MAAC Second Team and classmate
Lea Favre earned Preseason All-MAAC Third Team distinction. Â

Stella Johnson was named to the Women's Citizen Naismith Trophy Watch List as announced by the Atlanta Tipoff Club on November 6th. Johnson is one of 50 players in the nation and just two players from mid-major programs to earn a spot on the list. In late October, Johnson was also named one of 20 watch-list candidates for the 2020 Nancy Lieberman Award as announced by The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). She was also named to the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Watch List by the USBWA on December 5.
