- The Gaels enter Sunday afternoon's matinee with an 8-15 overall record and 7-7 mark in MAAC play after defeating Siena, 58-47, on Thursday at home. Iona has won back-to-back games and three straight road contests. Six of the team's eight wins have come away from New Rochelle this season. Iona is one of just three teams in the MAAC that averages over seven made three-pointers per game. It is a balanced attack for the Gaels with three players scoring over nine points per game. Morgan Rachu leads the charge on the offensive end with almost 12 points per contest. Rachu did not play in the first meeting between the two teams.

- Head Coach
Lynn Milligan earned her 163rd win at the helm of the program last Saturday at Manhattan. She passed her former coach Eldon Price (162) for the most wins by a head coach in Rider women's basketball history. She currently has 164 wins and counting. Â Â

- Rider beat Quinnipiac, 68-62, on Thursday on the road. After the early minutes, the Broncs never trailed. Rider stretched its lead to as many as 12 late in third quarter before the Bobcats came roaring back. Quinnipiac went on an 8-0 run early in the fourth to tie game at 52. The Broncs responded with a 7-0 spurt of their own capped by a bucket from Stella with under three minutes to play to take lead they would surrender.

- Rider has won at least 19 games for the third time in last four years. The Broncs first season with 19 or more wins as a Division I program came in 2016-17. The most wins for the team in a single season in 26 which the team accomplished during the 1981-82 season while competing in the NJAIAW Division II.

Stella Johnson became the first player in program history and the eighth player in the history of MAAC women's basketball to score 2,000 career points on Thursday at Quinnipiac.

- Following the 64-57 win over Xavier in mid-November, Rider moved into CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top-25 Poll. The Broncs are currently ranked 14th in the poll.

- On February 10,
Stella Johnson was named one of 10 candidates for the 2020 Nancy Lieberman Award as announced by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. Stella is the only mid-major player on this list that includes players from the BIG 12, AAC, BIG EAST, Big Ten, Pac 12 and SEC.

Stella Johnson is Rider's all-time leader in made field goals. She has made 736 field goals and counting in her career. Versus Quinnipiac on February 20, Stella had 29 points thanks to knocking down 11-of-20 from the field. It was Stella's seventh game this season hitting 11 or more shots from the field. No other player in the MAAC has more than two.

- On November 26,
Stella Johnson was named the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) Ann Meyers Drysdale Women's National Player of the Week. It marked the first time in program history that a Bronc was named the USBWA National Player of the Week and also the first time a player from the MAAC picked up the weekly accolade as well. Stella is one of just two active players in all of Division I, along with Princeton's Bella Alarie, to be have earned both USBWA National Player of the Week and USBWA National Freshman of the Week honors in their careers.

Stella Johnson set a single-game program record with 41 points in the victory over Lipscomb on November 22. The previous record for points in game by a Bronc was 37 by both
MyNeshia McKenzie and Nancy Carroll. She was the first player in the MAAC to score over 40 points since Victoria Rampado had 41 against Siena in January of 2018.

Stella Johnson became the first player in program history to earn MAAC Preseason Player of the Year honors. Stella was also a unanimous selection to the Preseason All-MAAC First Team. Two other Broncs picked up preseason accolades as senior
Amari Johnson landed on the Preseason All-MAAC Second Team and classmate
Lea Favre earned Preseason All-MAAC Third Team distinction. Â

Stella Johnson was named to the Women's Citizen Naismith Trophy Watch List as announced by the Atlanta Tipoff Club on November 6th. Johnson is one of 50 players in the nation and just two players from mid-major programs to earn a spot on the list. In late October, Johnson was also named one of 20 watch-list candidates for the 2020 Nancy Lieberman Award as announced by The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). She was also named to the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Watch List by the USBWA on December 5.
