Lindsay Bauer Named the MAAC Women's Field Performer of the Week

She earned the honor for the first time in her career

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Senior Lindsay Bauer (Allentown, PA/Salisbury) of the Rider University women's track and field team was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women's Field Performer of the Week on Tuesday afternoon as announced by the league office.

Bauer garnered weekly accolades from the MAAC for the first time this season and the first time in her career.

"Lindsay missed a lot of time this summer and fall recovering from injury so it is real exciting to see her back competing at a very high level," Rider Head Coach Bob Hamer said. "I really believe this weekend was just the beginning of some great jumps to come. She is very talented and she will be a big impact athlete for us during the championship season."

Bauer had a strong performance for the Broncs last week at the Collegeville Classic. In the one-day event at Ursinus College, she won the long jump with a leap of 5.55m. The mark is currently third in the MAAC in the event.

Rider returns to action this weekend, January 31 – February 1, sending student-athletes to both the two-day Penn State National Open and the one-day Villanova Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island.
