Gary Taylor to be Inducted into Mercer County (Pa.) Hall of Fame

Legendary former Rider wrestling coach joins brother, Ron, in being honored

MERCER COUNTY, PA – Legendary former Rider University Wrestling Head Coach Gary Taylor will be inducted into the Mercer County (Pa.) Hall of Fame on Saturday, January 18. The ceremony will take place at the Park Inn Radison. Taylor will join his brother, Ron, as Mercer County Hall of Famers.

Recognized by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame & Museum with the Lifetime Service Award, Taylor's illustrious career included 442 wins, good for third all-time in NCAA Division I wrestling. He led the Broncs to 14 conference championships and was named conference Coach of the Year nine times. His teams were ranked nationally, year in and year out, and reached a high of No. 7 in the country. Under Taylor's tutelage, 173 Broncs were national qualifiers, while 17 earned All-America honors.
