PHILADELPHIA, PA – Sophomore
Carly Brosious (Drexel Hill, PA/Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast) scored two goals and registered an assist to lead the Rider University field hockey team past host Drexel, 3-1, on Tuesday evening at Buckley Field.

The Broncs (2-1) won their second straight game, while the Dragons (0-4) suffered their fourth straight setback.

In the cage for Rider, junior
Lena Vandam (Braaschaat, Belgium) made four saves to earn her 21st career victory.

Brosious opened the scoring early in the first quarter. In the second frame, Brosious picked up an assist on a marker from
Julia Divorra (Terrassa, Spain/Vedruna Vall) as the guests would take a 2-0 lead into halftime.

Brosious would add an empty-net goal late in the fourth quarter to put an exclamation point on the victory. Â
