WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Rider returns home for a midweek non-conference clash against in-state rival Seton Hall that is slated to begin at 3:30 pm. The Broncs and Pirates are playing for the fourth year in a row and Rider is looking to end a seven-game losing streak versus Seton Hall. The last Bronc victory against SHU came in 2010 at home.
- Offensively, senior
Riley Mihalik is leading the charge for the Broncs. Mihalik is batting .309 with a career-high eight home runs and 25 RBIs. Mihalik has a .406 on-base percentage and is slugging .573. He leads the MAAC in home runs and ranks second in RBIs. Mihalik has also registered five doubles and scored 24 runs.
- Freshman lefty
Colin Eiser is getting the start on the mound for Rider. He is 0-1 this season with a 3.47 ERA in 23 and a third innings of work. Eiser has struck out 15 batters and scattered 15 hits. He has tossed over five innings in each of his last two starts.
- Out of the bullpen, Sophomore
Liam Harding as a 1.29 ERA with eight strikeouts in seven innings of work. He has also seen time behind the plate as a catcher. Over the weekend, Harding worked a perfect 1-2-3 inning of relief at Saint Peter's with two strikeouts.
- Senior reliever
Zach Gakeler is 2-1 with a team-leading five saves this spring. He has also made a team-high 15 appearances. Â
