2019
- In his final season with the Broncs he made a team-high 25 appearances out of the bullpen.
- In 39 and two-thirds innings of work, he registered a 3.86 ERA. He went 4-2 with five saves. His five saves were the most on the team as were his four wins.
- Struck out 45 batters on the year and opponents had a .257 batting average versus him.
- Had 17 scoreless appearances out of the bullpen.
- Worked three shutout innings and struck out four hitters versus Richmond on March 3 to earn the win.
- From April 10 through May 17 he tossed 13 and a third innings and did allow an earned run. 

2018
- Made 16 appearances and nine starts on the mound for the Broncs in his first season with the team.
- He went 1-8 in 49.1 innings of work with a 7.30 ERA and 34 strikeouts.
- Tossed seven shutout innings to earn a victory at home against Saint Peter’s.
- Pitched five or more innings four times.
- He struck out a career-high nine batters in the win versus the Peacocks on April 13.
- Made two scoreless appearances out of the bullpen.

Before Rider
Four-year letter winner in baseball as left-handed pitcher at Northern Burling County Regional High School…pitched to a 14-3 record and was named to the NJCAA 2016 Division II All Region XIX First Team and 2016 Division II All-GSAC First Team at Mercer County C.C….First Team All-Conference, All-County and All-South Jersey performer as a senior for Northern Burlington in 2014…finished his high school career with more than 200 strikeouts and was ranked as one of the Top 1000 recruits by Perfect Game…Transferred to Rider from Mercer County Community College.

Personal
Son of Ed and Deidra Gakeler…majoring in business administration with a minor in sports management…has one sister…his uncle, Daniel Gakeler, played professional baseball in 1988 and 1989.
