Pair of Rider Pitchers Named to ABCA/Rawlings All-East Second Team

PJ Craig and Christian Aiello Add More Accolades to Their Fantastic 2026 Campaign

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – PJ Craig and Christian Aiello were named to the American Baseball Coaches Association's All-East Second Team by the association's office. The pair of Broncs hurlers combine for a record of 17-6 across 157 innings during Rider's 2026 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship season while collecting a collective 161 strikeouts.

"To be named to the All-East Team is a testament to the outstanding seasons PJ and Christian had for us." Acting Head Coach Dr. Barry Davis said. "They were the definition of reliability, resilience, and consistency from start to finish. This recognition is well deserved, and I couldn't be happier for both of them."

Craig was named to the All-Region Second Team on the back of a 9-3 year for Rider, recording a staff-leading 3.51 ERA with a 1.29 WHIP through 102.2 innings on the mound. The senior out of Barnegat, New Jersey recorded 90 strikeouts while limiting opponents to a batting average of .239. Craig tossed two complete games for the Broncs this past season, the first coming in the form of a 9-2 win at home against Marist on April 2 while his second complete game came against Merrimack during Rider's opening 8-2 win at the MAAC Championships on May 21. For his efforts during the year, Craig received a plethora of accolades, named to the All-MAAC First Team and the Gainesville All-Regional Team. For his efforts during the team's run to the MAAC Championship, Craig was named the MAAC Tournament Most Valuable Player.

Aiello was named to the All-Region Second Team off the back of a dominant season on the mound for the Broncs, going 8-3 with a 3.64 ERA and 71 strikeouts in 54.1 innings. The senior had a team-low 1.23 WHIP. In conference play, Aiello was 6-1 with a 2.77 ERA and 54 strikeouts in 39.0 innings. He led the MAAC at 11.81 strikeouts per nine innings, was second in the MAAC with his seven wins and 1.19 WHIP and third in the league with his 3.38 ERA. For his efforts during the regular season, Aiello was named to the All-MAAC Second Team.
