WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- All Rider home basketball games will air on ESPN+ or ESPN3, with the exception of the January 9th contest against Quinnipiac that will air on ESPNU. Thursday's exhibition will not be streamed, but you can follow along with live stats.

- Rider is opening the season on the road for the first time since the start of the historic 2016-17 campaign. In that game at Princeton, the Broncs scored a 70-62 victory.

- Princeton is one two teams on Rider's non-conference slate that played in either the NCAA Tournament of the WNIT last season. Georgetown is the other.

- Princeton leads the all-time series, 25-9. In last year's meeting, Princeton defeated Rider, 89-65, behind a 16-point, five-assist performance from Carlie Littlefield. In a losing effort, Stella Johnson poured in 21 points for Rider in a losing effort.

- The two-time defending Ivy League Champion Princeton Tigers enter the 2019-20 season with lofty expectations once again. Princeton and Penn tied atop the Ivy League Preseason Poll with the Tigers receiving 10 of a possible 17 first-place votes. Princeton returns a pair of first-team All-Ivy honorees from a season ago in two-time reigning Ivy League Player of the Year Bella Alarie and junior guard Carlie Littlefield. The Tigers return three starters from last season and under the direction of first-year Head Coach Carol Berube.

- Coming off a third straight trip to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Basketball Championship Semifinals and a second-ever appearance in the WNIT, the Rider University women's basketball team is primed to take the next step in the MAAC in 2019-20. The Broncs are in search of their first-ever MAAC championship as the team looks to return to the title game for the second time in the last four years.

- A year ago, Rider finished 19-13 overall and earned the No. 2 seed in the MAAC Basketball Championship thanks to registering a 14-4 mark in conference play. The Broncs return four starters from last year's squad that saw three players earn All-MAAC honors.

- Rider was picked to finish third in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll. It is the highest the Broncs have been picked to finish in the preseason poll since joining the league. Rider was tabbed fourth in both 2018-19 and 2009-10.

- Stella Johnson became the first player in program history to earn MAAC Preseason Player of the Year honors. Stella was also a unanimous selection to the Preseason All-MAAC First Team. Two other Broncs picked up preseason accolades as senior Amari Johnson landed on the Preseason All-MAAC Second Team and classmate Lea Favre earned Preseason All-MAAC Third Team distinction.

- Stella earned Preseason First Team All-MAAC honors for the second year in a row. As a junior she was tabbed as the MAAC Player of the Year and she was a unanimous selection to the All-MAAC First Team. In 2018-19, she was also named to the MAAC All-Championship for the second year in a row. She led the MAAC in scoring (18.8 PPG) and steals (2.5 SPG) a year ago. Stella recorded her 1,000th career point in December of last season at Binghamton and she's currently tied with Katie Hall'05 for sixth in program history with 1,422 career points. Entering the year, she was also named one of 20 watch-list candidates for the 2020 Nancy Lieberman Award as announced by The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
