LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Rider University women's swimming and diving team had two student-athletes earn Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) weekly awards for the second time this season as announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.

Kayla May (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills) was tabbed as the MAAC Women's Swimmer of the Week and senior
Meg Tomayko (Murfreesboro, TN/Siegel) was honored as the MAAC Women's Diver of the Week.

May garnered weekly accolades from the MAAC for the first time in 2019-20 and the first time in her career, while Tomayko picked up weekly distinction for the second time this year and the fourth time in her career.

Kayla May had a big day in the pool for the Rider University swimming and diving team last week in a dual meet with regional rival Lehigh. May won three events for the Broncs, thanks to touching first in the 200 free (1:54.47), 200 back (2:06.23) and the 100 back (58.36). She currently has the top time in the MAAC in the 100 back, the 200 back and the 200 free.

Meg Tomayko had a strong weekend on the boards for the Broncs against the Mountain Hawks. Tomayko finished second in the both the 1M and the 3M. In the 1M, Tomayko posted an NCAA Zone A Qualifying score of 269.78. She had a mark of 258.52 in the 3M.

Rider returns to action in two weeks, hosting conference rival Marist on campus on Saturday, November 2.Â
