- All regular-season home games in 2018-19 will be carried on either ESPN3 or ESPN+. Road games only will be carried on 107.7 The Bronc. No radio broadcasts for home games will be provided. Jeff Nolan has the call for Thursday's tilt with Monmouth.
- Rider and Monmouth are playing for the 46th time in the series history with Monmouth holding a 29-16 advantage. The Broncs have won three of the last four meetings between the two teams and Rider is 8-5 against the
Hawks under Head Coach

- The Hawks enter Thursday's matinee against Rider with an overall record of 5-7 and a 1-0 mark in conference play after defeating Iona in their MAAC opener. Monmouth leads the MAAC with 15.8 offensive rebounds per game and the Hawks also rank second in the league in steals per game at 10.54. Monmouth is also third in the conference in both three-point field-goal percentage (.329) and three-pointers made per game (6.4). Junior Sierra Green leads the offensive charge for the Hawks with over 15 points per game. Freshman Lucy Thomas has made 11 starts for Monmouth and she has once been tabbed as the MAAC Rookie of the Week. In the post, senior Erica Balman leads the MAAC with 2.0 blocks per game.
- On Monday, January 7, junior
Stella Johnson was named the MAAC Player of the Week for the third time this season. She is the only player in the league to pick weekly accolades more than twice this year. She was also named the College Sports Madness MAAC Player of the Week for the third time this season. On Tuesday, Stella was also named the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Player of the Week. She is the first MAAC player to earn that distinction this year. On November 19, College Sports Madness also named Stella the National Division I Mid-Major Player of the Week.
- As a team, the Broncs rank in the top-three in the MAAC in five different statistical categories. Rider leads the MAAC in blocked shots with 4.0 swats per game. The Broncs rank second in the conference in scoring offense (61.3 PPG), field-goal percentage (.385) and turnover margin (+1.75). The team is also third in the league in assist-to-turnover ratio (0.89).
- Rider erased a nine-point deficit in the fourth quarter against Fairfield thanks to hitting six of their final seven shots from the field. All told, Rider outscored the Stags, 22-14, in the fourth. The Broncs shot over 77 percent from the field in the fourth quarter (7-of-9) with their only two misses in the frame coming on shots from three-point range. It marked the second time this season in which Rider hit over 75 percent of their field goals in a quarter with the first time occurring in the first quarter against Mount St. Mary's on November 17.
- Rider is 3-1 in games decided by five points or fewer this season. The team is also 1-0 in such games during conference play. The Broncs have won three straight games decided by two possessions or fewer. Rider was 2-5 in games decided by five points or fewer last season.
