WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

- hOURglass rivals Saint Peter's and Rider are playing for the 66th time in the all-time series history with the Peacocks holding a 44-21 advantage. The Broncs have had the edge of late, winning the last eight meetings between the two teams thanks to sweeping the regular-season series in each of the last three seasons. Two of the last three meetings between the two teams have been decided by five points or fewer.

- Saint Peter's enters Friday evening's contest with a 6-10 overall record and a 1-4 mark in conference play after rallying from a 20-point deficit to defeat Fairfield on Tuesday, January 15. The Peacocks snapped a four-game losing streak with the come-from-behind win against the Stags. Saint Peter's currently leads the MAAC in three-point field-goal percentage (.358) and they are also third in the MAAC in scoring offense at 61.7 points per tilt. Offensively, freshman Briyanah Richardson and junior Zoe Pero pace the Peacock with over 14 points per game apiece. Richardson is coming a game in which she scored 39 of the team's 68 points versus Fairfield, while Pero added 17 of her own. The duo combined for 56 points in the win.

- Last time out, Stella Johnson scored a game-high 29 points on 10-of-15 shooting to lead the Broncs past host Iona, 66-58, in MAAC play on Wednesday evening. Johnson knocked down 5-of-7 shots from three-point and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds to help Rider improve to 4-0 in conference action. Rider erased a second-quarter deficit by ending the half on a 7-0 run to lead by one at the half. The Bronc lead would balloon to as many as 18 early in the fourth quarter. Down the stretch, Rider held staved off the Gael comeback to escape with the hard-fought win.

- Rider is 4-0 to start MAAC play for the first time in program history. The previous best undefeated start for the Broncs in conference play was 2-0 back during their historic 2016-17 campaign. Rider is one of two unbeaten teams left in MAAC play alongside preseason favorite Quinnipiac. Rider is the only MAAC program that currently has both their men's and women's team undefeated in conference play.

- Junior guard Stella Johnson was named the MAAC Player of the Week and the College Sports Madness MAAC Player of the Week on Monday. It marked the fourth time this season that she picked up both accolades in a week. She is the only player in the conference to be named the Player of the Week more than twice this season. Last Tuesday, Stella was also named the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Player of the Week. She is the first MAAC player to earn that distinction this year. On November 19, College Sports Madness also named Stella the National Division I Mid-Major Player of the Week.

- Rider shot a season-high 52.9 percent (9-of-17) from beyond the arc at Iona. It marked the third time this season that the team converted on over 40 percent of their attempts from three-point range in a game. It was also the third time in 2018-19 (and the first time in conference play) that the team hit nine or more treys in a game. Stella led the way for the Broncs, hitting 5-of-7 shots from distance.

- This season, the Broncs lead the MAAC in blocked shots per game with 4.1. On Wednesday, Rider recorded six blocks in the win at Iona.
