PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Rider University women's tennis team fell on the road at Temple, 7-0, Wednesday afternoon. With the loss, the Broncs fall to 2-12, while the Owls are now 8-7.

The Broncs got credit for a win by default at No. 1 doubles, but the Owls took the second and third flights to secure the doubles point. Caitlin Gardner (Fishers, IN/Fishers) came closest to a singles win at No. 4, but fell to Kristina Titova, 6-3, 6-2. Cyd Melendez (Cayey, PR/Colegio La Merced) was also highly competitive at No. 1, but fell to Alina Abdurakhimova, 6-1, 6-3.

The Broncs return to action tomorrow, when they play host to St. Francis Brooklyn. First serve is slated for 2 p.m.
