What You Need to Know
- Rider defeated No. 4 Fairfield, 71-64, in the MAAC Quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon.
- The Bobcats enter Sunday afternoon's contest with a 25-5 overall record and a perfect 18-0 mark in the MAAC after topping Canisius in the MAAC quarterfinals. Quinnipiac clinched its fourth straight MAAC regular season title. Dating back to last season, the Bobcats have won 22 straight games against MAAC opponents. As a team, Quinnipiac is first in the MAAC in eight different statistical categories. The Bobcats are tops in the conference in scoring offense (71.1), scoring defense (58.6), scoring margin (+12.6), three-point field-goal percentage (.336), turnover margin (+6.37), assist-to-turnover ratio (1.38), assists per game (17.2) and steals per game (10.9). The balanced Bobcat attack sees two players averaging in double figures and four starters averaging over eight points per game. Jen Fay leads the Quinnipiac attack with nearly 13 points and over seven rebounds per game. She also ranks second in the MAAC in three-point field-goal percentage (40.5%). Aryn McClure is scoring over 12 points and grabbing six rebounds a game. McClure is also second in the MAAC in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.0) and fourth in blocks per game (1.2). Quinnipiac had three players earn All-MAAC honors this season.

- Quinnipiac has won all 12 meetings between the two teams. Last year, the Bobcats topped the Broncs in the MAAC Championship.

- Last time out, Rider broke open a one-point game by starting the third quarter on a 17-6 run over the first five minutes of the frame. During the spurt,
Stella Johnson scored 10 straight points for the Broncs. In the third, Johnson poured in 14 points and Rider held the Stags to 31 percent (5-of-16) shooting. Rider stretched its lead to as many as 17 late in the third before taking a 13-point edge at 52-39 into the fourth.

- Three members of the Rider University women's basketball players earned All-MAAC honors as announced by the league office on a conference call with coaches and media members earlier this week. Sophomore
Stella Johnson and senior
Kamila Hoskova picked up Second Team All-MAAC honors, while freshman
Jaiden Morris landed on the MAAC All-Rookie Team. Hoskova received Second Team All-MAAC distinction for the second year in a row and Johnson was named to the Second Team after making the MAAC All-Rookie Team as a freshman. It marked the second year in a row that the Broncs placed a first-year player on the all-rookie team.
