WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Rider enters the weekend with a 3-4 mark in MAAC matches. The Broncs are 3-0 on Saturday's in conference action in 2018. On the road this season the team is 5-5 overall and 1-2 in league play. Â
- Last time out, Iona rallied to defeat Rider, 3-2, on Wednesday, October 3. The two teams went back-and-forth all match. During the first four frames, the first team to score 20 points in each set would go on to lose. In the final game, the Broncs took a 13-12 edge following an Iona attack error. The hosts would answer by scoring the final three points of the frame to escape with the victory.
- The Broncs are 3-3 in five-set contests this fall. The team is 3-4 in three-set matches (with all three wins coming in conference play) and 1-0 in four-game tilts. At home, the Broncs are 2-2 this year with impressive wins against Quinnipiac and Siena.
- On Tuesday, September 4, Head Coach Chris Feliciano earned his 100th career victory at Rider. He became just the second coach in program history to reach the milestone. He enters the weekend with a career record of 105-126. He is the second winningest coach in program history and is eight wins away from the most victories in program history.
- In the first match of the season, senior
Hailey Riede became the eighth player in program history to record 1,000 career kills. Riede is the fourth player under Feliciano to reach the milestone. In the first 32 years of the program, four players recorded 1,000 career kills. In Feliciano's eight seasons the same number of student-athletes have accomplished the feat. She currently is tied for fourth program history with 1,118 kills. She is five kills away from being in the top-three all-time in Rider volleyball history.
- Freshman setter
Anilee Sher has twice been named the MAAC Rookie of the Week already this season. She is averaging 9.31 assists per set and 2.90 digs per set. She also leads the team with 24 service aces. Sher has recorded a team-best eight double-doubles this season, including last time out at Iona in which she had 44 assists and 16 digs.
- In September, junior
Rachelle Runyon was named the MAAC Libero of the Week. It was her first career weekly award from the league. Both Runyon and Sher were named to the La Salle Invitational All-Tournament Team on the second weekend of play.
- Rider leads the all-time series with Saint Peter's, 29-20. The Broncs have won 16 straight matches against the Peacocks thanks to sweeping the regular-season series in each of the last eight seasons.
- Rider leads the all-time series with Coppin State, 2-1. The Broncs won last season's meeting, 3-0, in Lawrenceville. In the victory,
Hailey Riede led the Rider attack with 11 kills. Â
- Offensively,
Savannah Logan has a team-high 158 kills this season. She has added a career-high 141 digs as well to go along with 15 blocks. Logan has recorded five double-doubles this year. Against Iona on Wednesday she had a career-best 27 digs.

Hailey Riede has been a force in limited action for the Broncs. She was 126 kills in 40 sets played. She is leading the team with 3.15 kills per set. Riede has recorded 10 or more kills in a match seven times, including a season-high 15 kills against the Gaels.
- At the net, senior
Perry Williams had a team-best 49 total blocks (11 solo blocks, 38 block assists). She has recorded six or more block assists in four matches in 2018. In the middle, Williams is third on the squad with 76 kills. Â
- Defensively, Runyon leads the team with 240 digs, while Sher is second with 139. On the backline,
Brynn Sherbert has chipped in 124 digs, while
Danielle Blanco has contributed 120 digs.
