What You Need to Know
- Rider returns to action at home on Sunday, January 2, with a conference tilt against Canisius. The Broncs are looking to snap a three-game home losing streak.
- Rider has won two straight against the Griffs thanks to sweeping the regular season series last season.
- Last time out, the Broncs topped Saint Peter's, 57-52, in Jersey City. The win was the first in conference play this year for Rider. The Broncs forced 18 SPU turnovers and
Stella Johnson recorded her second career double-double. Johnson scored a career-high 29 points on an impressive 13-of-21 shooting from the field. She also grabbed 11 rebounds and registered two steals.
- Sunday's game versus Canisius is the 107th in
Kamila Hoskova's career. She scored her 1,000th career point against Siena with a free throw in the fourth quarter. Hoskova currently ranks in the top-five in program history in three different categories.

Kamila Hoskova became the 22nd player in program history to score 1,000 career points Siena. She is the third Bronc in the last two seasons to reach the milestone and the second player in the last two years to do so on a free throw against the Saints after
Robin Perkins'17 did so last year.
- Canisius closes out a three-game road trip this week with Sunday's matinee in Lawrenceville. The Golden Griffs enter the contest with an overall record of 3-11 and 1-2 mark in the MAAC. This meeting with the Broncs is the third in six days for Canisius. The Griffs have split their three-game road trip thus far this week, beating Iona, 53-49, before falling at Manhattan, 58-39, on Thursday. The Canisius offensive attack is led by junior forward Sara Hinriksdottir with almost 13 points per game. She is the lone Griffin averaging in double figures. She also leads the squad in rebounding and assists, pulling down over five boards per contest and dishing out over three dimes per tilt. Senior guard Margaret Halfdanardottir leads the team in three-point shooting, hitting better than 37 percent (17-of-46) from beyond the arc. Halfandottir is also pouring in nearly nine points per contest. As a team, Canisius leads the MAAC in field-goal percentage defense and three-point, field-goal percentage defense with opponents shooting 38.9 from the field and 26.7 percent from beyond the arc. The Griffins also rank last in the league in steals per game (5.14), field-goal percentage (35.2%) and free-throw percentage (61.4%).
- Canisius leads the all-time series, 32-11. However, the Broncs have had the edge of late having won two in a row thanks to sweeping the regular-season series last winter. Under Milligan, Rider is 6-14 against the Golden Griffs.
- After dropping their first two conference games of the season, Rider defeated Saint Peter's in MAAC play on Tuesday. The road win was the team's third of the year and for the second straight winter the Broncs were victorious in their first away league game of the year. The Rider defense held the Peacocks to 34 percent shooting and turned 18 SPU turnovers into 15 points.
- Sophomore
Stella Johnson had a career night against the Peacocks, the versatile guard set new career-bests in points (29) and made field goals (13) as she recorded her second double-double of the season. Her 29-point, 11-rebound performance propelled Rider to victory at Saint Peter's. She knocked down 13-of-21 shots from the field and both of her three-point attempts. She also added two steals. It was her second career double-double and first in conference play. She has 10 or more rebounds twice this season and she's scored 20 or more points three times. Senior guard

Stella Johnson and
Lexi Posset scored all 12 of Rider's first-quarter points at Saint Peter's on 5-of-9 shooting. The duo accounted 28 of the team's first 31 points of the game. For the game against the Peacocks, the two were 17-of-33 (51.5%) from the field, while the rest of the team was just 5-of-22 (22.7%). Johnson and Posset accounted for 44 of the Broncs 57 points (77.2% of the team's offense).

Stella Johnson shot an impressive 61.9 percent (13-of-21) from the field at Saint Peter's. It was the fifth game this year in which she has knocked better than 50 percent from the field. In conference play thus far, she is shooting 54.7 percent (29-of-53) from the field. In three MAAC games, she is averaging almost 22 points, seven rebounds and nearly three steals per contest.
