In Alumni Gymnasium this season, the Broncs are 3-6. Rider has won two of their last three home MAAC games after dropping their first two to open the year.
- Last time out, Fairfield used a 14-0 third-quarter run to erase a halftime deficit and build a lead they would relinquish as the Broncs fell at home to the Stags, 68-57. Four different Rider players scored in double figures, led by senior
Kamila Hoskova with 14 points thanks to hitting all eight of her free-throw attempts.
- The Jaspers enter the midweek clash with an 8-12 overall record and a 5-4 mark in MAAC play after defeating Monmouth, 63-53, on Sunday. Manhattan has not won or lost back-to-back games in conference play this year. Since the start of the league play the team has followed each win with a loss and vice versa. Similar to the Broncs, Manhattan has trotted out several different starting lineups in 2017-18. It is a two-headed attack for the Jaspers with both Kayla Grimme and Amani Tatum averaging in double figures. Grimme is scoring a team-best 14.6 points per game to go along with nearly eight rebounds per contest. Grimme ranks fourth in the MAAC in rebounds per tilt and she's also fourth in free-throw percentage (80.0%). Grimme is also third in the conference with 1.7 blocked shots per game. Tatum has had an impressive senior campaign, scoring 12.4 points per game to go along with 4.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds per contest. Tatum leads the MAAC in three-point field goals made per game (2.2) and three-point field-goal percentage (42.7%). On the defensive end, she also is tops in the league in steals (61) and steals per game (3.1). Running the point, Tatum is second in assists in the conference this season. As a team, Manhattan ranks in the top-three in the MAAC in two different statistical categories. The Jaspers are third in the league in field-goal percentage (39.5%) and also in scoring defense, allowing opponents to score 62.3 points per game.
- Manhattan leads the all-time series, 29-15. The Broncs have had the edge of late, winning four of the last five meetings between the two dating back to 2014-15 campaign. Under Head Coach
Lynn Milligan, Rider is 7-11 against the Jaspers. Her seven wins against Manhattan are the fourth-most against a MAAC opponent.
- This season, Rider is 7-0 when holding opponents to under 60 points. The Broncs are also 8-2 (5-1 in MAAC play) in 2017-18 when they shoot a higher percentage than their opponents. The Broncs have forced at least 17 turnovers in a game 12 times this season. Rider has a +1.1 turnover ratio this year which ranks third in the MAAC.Â

On December 30 versus Siena, Hoskova played a career-high 42 minutes in an overtime setback. This year, she is playing over 35 minutes per game. Johnson played the full 40 minutes for the first time in her career. Junior point guard
