Women's Swimming and Diving Hosts Lehigh on Saturday

The dual meet between the Broncs and Mountain Hawks gets underway at 1pm

What You Need To Know
- Rider will have its first of two straight home meets on Saturday, October 21, welcoming in Lehigh for a non-conference dual meet.
- The Broncs opened the year with a dual meet loss at Seton Hall before beating Siena last weekend in Loudonville.
- Following the first week of the season, junior diver Breanne Hatter was honored as the MAAC Women's Diver of the Week.
- On Wednesday, Hatter was once again recognized by the league as she named the MAAC Women's Diver of the Week for the second time this year. It was her third time receiving the honor in her career.
- Hatter continued her strong early season for Rider by setting a new pool record at Siena in the 1M. She won the event and set the record with a score of 285.60. Hatter also posted a third-place finish in the 3M diving event with a score of 249.90. Her performance helped propel the Broncs to a dual-match victory over the Saints.
- At Siena, Rider won nine of the 16 events.
- Last time out, Rider got off to a strong start, winning the 200 medley relay, which was the first event of the dual meet. The quartet of senior Tara Maniace, classmate Taylor Stalnaker, junior Victoria Evans and freshman Brianna Hatzold ended with a time of 1:53.51.
- The Broncs have won back-to-back dual meets against conference opponents dating back to last season.
- The Broncs had a photo finish in the 50 free at Siena as Evans and freshman Maeve Lersch tied for first as both finished with a time of 25.74. Lersch and Evans were followed by sophomore Olivia Iswalt who came in third in the event at 25.98.
- Rider also had a strong showing in the 200 back. Stalnaker won the event, posting a mark of 2:14.51, while junior Olivia Cann and Lersch finished second and third, respectively. Cann had a time of 2:15.11 and Lersch ended at 2:15.22.
- The Broncs swept both diving events at Siena. Hatter won the 1M, while Meg Tomayko came in second with 237.45 and Meagan Fornero finished third with 210.75. In the 3M event, Fornero earned her first college win with a score of 264.30. Tomayko was also second in the 3M with a score of 252.37 and Hatter finished in third with 249.90.
