VILLANOVA, Pa.—The Rider University men's tennis team lost a non-conference match at Villanova University on Wednesday afternoon.

For Rider, sophomore Diego Delgado (Lara, Venezuela/Colegio Rioclaro) won five games at third singles before losing 6-3, 6-2.

“We played a tough team today,” said head coach Doug Potkay.  “Chris (Popso) and Diego (Delgado) played extremely well in singles and had a chance to win more games.”

The men's team travels to Saint Peter's University on Saturday for a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference match, beginning at noon.
