WEST WINDSOR—The Rider University women's tennis team lost a non-conference match against Longwood University on Saturday morning.

The match was held at Mercer County Park in West Windsor, New Jersey due to tennis court renovations on the Rider campus.

For the Broncs, sophomore Olivia Banks (Baltimore, Md./Franklin) won her first collegiate match with a 6-3, 5-7, 10-5 victory at sixth singles.

“Olivia played a tough three-set match,” said head coach Doug Potkay.  “It was nice to see her get the first win.”

Banks is in her first semester on the team, coming to the Broncs from Georgian Court University.

Rider is back in action March 22 against La Salle University at 3pm.
