Rider at Siena Friday Night

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y.—The Rider University women's basketball team heads to Loudonville, New York on Friday night for a 7pm Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game at Siena College.

The Broncs are coming off a 64-51 loss at defending MAAC champion Quinnipiac University on Wednesday, a contest that saw junior Taylor Wentzel score a career-high 13 points.

Siena opened conference play 4-0 and the Saints are 7-7 overall after a 58-52 win at Canisius College on January 4.

Friday night is the 40th meeting all-time between Rider and Siena with the Saints holding a 30-9 series lead.  Rider has dominated the series recently having won five of the last six games against the Saints.  The teams split two meetings last season with each squad winning on the road.

Rider and Siena meet again in Lawrenceville on January 17 at 1pm in a game on ESPN3.

After the game Friday night, the Broncs return home for the first game since December 17 when Rider hosts Niagara University at 2pm in Alumni Gymnasium, the first of a five-game home stand.
