Rider Home Friday Night
LAWRENCEVILLE—The Rider University women's basketball team is back in action on Friday evening when the Broncs host the Purple Eagles of Niagara University in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game.
Tip-off is at 7pm in Alumni Gymnasium on the Lawrenceville campus.
Rider (3-13, 0-6 MAAC) is led by sophomore Robin Perkins who is averaging 11.8 points per game.
The Broncs are coming off a 59-47 loss to Fairfield on Sunday afternoon, a game that saw the Stags break open a two point game with a 12-0 run.
The Broncs met Niagara twice last season with each team winning on its home floor.
Niagara (7-8, 3-3 MAAC) is led by Victoria Rampado who was named the MAAC Player of the Week after averaging 20.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game in a four point loss to Siena and a three point loss to first place Quinnipiac.
The Purple Eagles have MAAC wins over Saint Peter's, Manhattan and Fairfield and Niagara has non-conference victories over Binghamton, Detroit, Cleveland State and Mount St. Mary's.
This is the third and final game of Rider's longest home stand of the season. The Broncs travel to Iona on Sunday.
