LAWRENCEVILLE—The Rider University men's tennis team was swept by Lafayette College on Wednesday afternoon.

For the Broncs, senior Nick Lubold (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) won five games at third singles before losing 6-3, 6-2 with freshman Chanton Phan (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) winning four games at second singles in a 6-1, 6-3 loss.

“Lafayette played with poise and experience,” said head coach Ed Torres.  “We need to keep working on keeping the ball in play to try and force the opposition to make the error.”

The Rider women travel to Philadelphia University on Thursday.
