LAWRENCEVILLE—The Rider University men's tennis team was swept in a non-conference match Tuesday afternoon in Lawrenceville.

The Explorers won 7-0.

For Rider, senior Nick Lubold (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) won four games at third singles before losing 6-1, 6-3 with senior Sean Sweeney (Franklinville/Delsea Regional)  winning four games at fourth singles before falling 6-2, 6-2.

“It was windy,” said head coach Ed Torres.  “The La Salle players handled the wind a little better.  They made fewer errors and were steadier.”

The Rider men host Lafayette Wednesday.
