PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—Both the Rider University men's and women's tennis teams lost a non-conference match at Drexel University on Sunday afternoon.
“We played a very strong Drexel squad that was good top to bottom,” said head coach Doug Potkay.
For the Rider men, freshman Agaazi Berhane (Williamstown) won seven games at sixth singles before losing 6-3, 6-4.
For the Rider women, senior Alison Noll (Monmouth Junction/South Brunswick) saw her sixth match winning streak snapped as she lost 6-1, 6-3 at first singles.
“Alison started off slow but played better in the second set,” Potkay added.
Both squads complete the fall season with a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference match at Niagara University on November 1.
