BALTIMORE, Md.-Both the Rider University men's and women's tennis teams lost a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference match at Loyola Maryland on Monday afternoon.
"The match was played under extremely windy conditions," said head coach Ed Torres. "Loyola, they were just a more experienced team and they made fewer errors."
For the Bronc men, junior Rollie Malfitano (Wenonah/Gloucester Catholic) lost in three sets at number one singles 6-3, 4-6, 6-2.
For the Rider women, senior Marly Roche (Sussex/High Point Regional) won four games at first singles before losing in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.
The Bronc women host Lafayette April 3 and the Rider men host Monmouth April 4.
