JERSEY CITY--The Rider University men's tennis team wrapped up the 2011-12 season with a 7-0 loss at Saint Peter's on Tuesday in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference match.
For the Broncs, sophomore Nick Lubold (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) won three games at third singles before losing in straight sets.
"For a team that did field a squad in the fall, Saint Peter's picked up a couple of players that are really, really good," said head coach Ed Torres. "We played indoors where it is a faster game than we are used to and we couldn't handle the serves that Saint Peter's was able to execute. We gave it our best but they were superior to our team."
