VILLANOVA, Pa.--The Rider University men's tennis team was swept by Villanova in a non-conference match Saturday afternoon.

For the Broncs, freshman Rollie Malfitano (Wenonah/Gloucester Catholic) won three games at first singles before losing 6-0, 6-3.

"Villanova had a very experienced team," said head coach Ed Torres.  "It was good for our players to face the caliber of players that you see in the BIG EAST.  We had fun playing them and it was a good experience for the team."

Rider hosts Wagner April 7.
