DOVER, DE-The Broncs were swept by Delaware State at Wesley College Sunday. "Delaware State is very good," said Rider head coach Ed Torres. "They have almost all international players."

For the Rider men freshman Aaron Greene (New Hampton, N.Y./Minisink Valley) won at fifth singles, and junior Chris Esposito (Ocean Grove/Neptune) won at sixth singles.

"(freshman) Ryan Carpenter (Sahuarita, Arizona) played very well for us," Torres said. "He played a very good player and for a freshman played very well."

The Broncs won the doubles point when senior Will Haight (Sewell/Washington Township) and Esposito won at second doubles.

For the Rider women, senior Kristina Paich (Stanhope/Lenape Valley Regional) won five games at first singles before losing in straight sets.

The women's team hosts Saint Joseph's at 3:00pm on September 23 with the men's team hosting Marist at 2:00pm on September 30 in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference match.
