Rider's Devin Crawbuck Joins MCCC as assistant coach

WEST WINDSOR--Marc J. Vecchiolla, the head coach of the women's tennis team at Mercer County Community College (MCCC) since 1997, has announced the addition of Devin Crawbuck to his staff for the 2007-08 season.

Crawbuck (Jacobstown, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional), a four-year letterwinner at Rider University, won 29 singles matches for the Broncs and combined with her sister Caitlin to win 29 doubles matches in her career.

“Both Crawbuck sisters (Devin and Caitlin) were the most dedicated and hardest working players that I have had in my 12 seasons at Rider,” said head coach Ed Torres.  “As a coach, Devin is going to be looked upon as a role model and her work ethic is going to rub off on the players at MCCC.  I am very happy for her.”

The women's program at Mercer has won four NJCAA national titles in the past ten years.

A Communication major, Crawbuck is scheduled to graduate from Rider in December.
