Crimoli, Crawbuck Rider Athletes of Month

LAWRENCEVILLE?Gene Crimoli of the baseball team, and Caitlin Crawbuck of the tennis team, were named the Rider University Athletes of the Month for April.

Crimoli, a senior from Shrewsbury (Christina Brothers Academy), batted .342 in April with 26 hits and 21 runs scored in 20 games, leading Rider to a 15-6 record in the month, including a 12-3 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference record for the month.

Crawbuck, a junior from Jacobstown (Northern Burlington Regional), went 7-0 in singles in April, extending her winning streak to 17 matches.  Crawbuck was 18-1 for the year, improving to 37-2 in her two year career at Rider.

Crimoli hit four home runs in April and now has six for the season. His 46 hits this year gives him 170 for his career, 17th most ever at Rider.
