            TRENTON?The Broncs snapped their six-game losing steak with a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference victory over Niagara Sunday afternoon at the Sovereign Bank Arena.

Rider freshman Katie Hall (Rock Tavern, NY/Burke Catholic) led all scorers with 22 points, while senior Tanya Cross (Toronto) added 19 points, 11 rebounds and five steals.

            Rider (1-6, 1-1 MAAC) jumped out to a 24-10 lead mid-way through the first half, seven points each by Hall and senior Kathleen Kearon (Shoreham, NY/Shoreham-Wading), and led 44-22 at the half. Kearon finished with nine points, seven rebounds and six assists.

            Niagara (0-7, 0-2 MAAC) never led in the contest.

            Senior Robin Stein (Altoona, PA/Altoona Area) added 13 points and six rebounds for Rider.

            Junior Kathy Meder scored 20 points for Niagara, while Eva Cunningham added 15 points.

            The Broncs next play December 15 at Mount St. Mary's.
