LOUDONVILLE, NY--The Broncs saw their playoff hopes take a serious blow Sunday with a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference loss at Siena.
Junior Phil Bedrin (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin) gave Rider (3-9-2, 3-4-0 MAAC) a 1-0 lead with his team-high fourth goal of the season just 11:03 into the game, but that was all of the offense Rider could generate, as the Saints (5-8-1, 4-3 MAAC) out-shot Rider 18-7.
Siena tied the score at 1-1 mid-way through the first half, and scored the game-winner just 2:43 into the second half. Siena added an insurance goal with 18 minutes left in the contest.
Rider plays at St. Peter's Wednesday and closes out the regular season with a home game Saturday against nationally ranked Fairfield.
