Laird went 8-0 in November, including first-place finishes at 197 lbs. at the season-opening Princeton Open and the Keystone Classic. He also won dual competition with a 21-6 tech fall against SIU Edwardsville’s Ryan Yarnell and a 17-6 major decision over Purdue’s Hayden Filpovich. The Broncs won both of their dual matches in November. Laird defeated Princeton’s Luke Stout in the Princeton Open final, while taking a 7-6 decision over then-No. 15 Kordell Norfleet of Arizona State to take the Keystone Classic title.
