Susan Kim was hired as an assistant coach for the Rider University volleyball team in the summer of 2019 and named associate head coach in winter 2021. After a season as assistant coach at Georgetown University, Kim rejoined the Broncs in July of 2022. In just her second season with the team, the Broncs won the 2020-21 MAAC Championship, giving Rider its first-ever title in 24 years in the league.
In 2022, the Broncs won their first two matches in the MAAC Tournament before falling in the semifinals to eventual MAAC Champions Quinnipiac in the semifinals. Morgan Romano became the first Bronc to earn All-MAAC honors for the fourth time in her career.

Prior to coming to Lawrenceville, Kim served as an assistant coach at Holy Family for six seasons. Her final season at Holy Family was the most successful in the program’s history. In 2018, the team captured the CACC Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division II Sweet Sixteen.

She coached and trained a 2018 AVCA All-American, 2018 AVCA East Region Player of the Year, 2018 CACC East Region Player of the Year, 2018 Conference Player of the Year. Kim also mentored the 2018 CACC Rookie of the Year, 2018 CACC Setter of the Year.

Also at Holy Family, she oversaw four All-Conference players, three Conference All-Tournament Team players, and three All-Region Tournament team players. The team was also recognized for their academics as a Top-25 program in GPA by AVCA. Team GPA of 3.66 in 2016-2017, and 3.69 in 2017-2018.

Kim previously served as an assistant coach back in 2012 before taking a position with Division I La Salle University in 2013.
At La Salle, Kim served as an assistant and interim head coach and was responsible for planning and leading technical training sessions. She also assisted with the planning and running of team practices. Kim also introduced and implemented statistical analyses of team practices and matches as well as tracked statistical data in all aspects of the game, including kill efficiency, dig-to-kill efficiency, unforced errors, etc.
Kim has nearly a decade of coaching and playing experience. She is currently the Founder and Co-Director of Infinity Volleyball Academy, which was founded in 2008. She is responsible for multiple aspects of managing daily operations and the growth of the youth oriented volleyball program.
Kim previously coached at Council Rock North High School as the head coach for the boys volleyball team from 2011-2012. While at Council Rock, the team won the SOL National Conference Championship and District 1 AAA Championship and was ranked in the top-ten of the PVCA state poll. The team advanced to the PIAA State Championships in 2011 with an undefeated 12-0 conference record and 16-1 overall record.
Prior to that, she served as the head coach of the Archbishop Wood High School girls team from 2006-2011. During her tenure, the team went 79-23 and won the Philadelphia Catholic League (PCL) Division Championships (‘06, ‘07, and ‘08), two PCL Championships (‘08, ‘10), and two District 12 Championships (‘08, ‘10). The team advanced to the PIAA State Championship playoffs in 2008 and 2010. She received Bucks County Courier Times Coach of the Year in 2007 & 2008.
Kim played four years for the Bloomsburg University women’s volleyball club and was the team's Co-Captain. She earned All-Tournament team honors in the Northeast Women’s Volleyball Club League Championship. She currently still competes playing in indoor and outdoor leagues and tournaments. Â

Susan is currently involved with USA Volleyball High Performance as a camp coach and tryout evaluator and court coach.
Kim earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Bloomsburg in Computer and Information Systems with a minor in Economics.
