Sierra Bastien was named the Director of Operations for the women’s basketball team in August of 2017.
With the Broncs, she will recruit prospective players to attend camp programs, hire, train, and manage basketball managers, schedule home and away team practices, communicate and coordinate game logistics with opposing teams, oversee, implement game marketing initiatives and assist with day-to-day operations of the women's basketball team and coordinate team travel and food arrangements for away games.
In the summer of 2017 before joining the women’s basketball staff she served as a recruiting coordinator for The Hoop Group. During her time there, Bastien recruited prospective players to attend camp programs, communicated with parents, campers, and camp staffers, completed purchase transactions for camps through the organization's database, updated and edited the Hoop Group's online database and coordinated direct mailings of camp informational packets.
Bastien graduated from Rider with a bachelor’s of science in business management and sports management in the spring of 2017.
As an undergraduate with the Broncs, she was the head manager for the women’s basketball team. As a manager, Bastien oversaw other managers' daily duties, created schedules for managers and assistant coaches, documented player statistics for each game, ran field shooting chart, filmed, generated, and upload DVD recordings of team, practices and games, responsible for away game team equipment, assisted in the creation of opposing team scouts and reviewed and analyzed practice and game film.
