Luis Guzman joined Kevin Baggett's staff at Rider in summer 2017. A four-year letterwinner at Temple, Guzman most recently spent two years at his alma mater as a graduate manager and was an assistant coach for the gold-medal winning Dominican Republic U17 team at the 2017 Centrobasket Championship.Â
A 2010 Temple graduate, Guzman led the Owls to three Atlantic 10 Championships and four NCAA Tournament appearances, serving as team captain as a senior. Following his graduation in just three and a half years, he played professionally in eight different countries over a five-year span. He won titles while competing in the Dominican Republic, Denmark, Mongolia and Mexico. He also represented the Dominican Republic at the Pan American Games in 2011 and was a member of the silver-medal winning U17 team at the 2005 Centrobasket tournament. Guzman returned to Temple in 2015-16 to work with the team while earning his master’s degree.

Guzman has also served as the founder/tournament coordinator for the Washington Heights Invitational. He was named the recipient of the Anthony Cimino Award for excellence in athletics and academics at Temple.
