Garrett Collins joined Rider Head Coach Kevin Baggett’s staff in Summer 2023, following two years on staff at his alma mater, UNC Greensboro, as a Graduate Assistant. The four-year student-athlete for the Spartans also played professionally for one year with the Dublin Lions in Ireland.
In his two years on staff with the Spartans, Collins coached five All-SoCon players. In his final year on staff in 2022-23, UNCG won 20 games.
As a student-athlete, Collins walked on to the Spartans as a freshman and went on to play in 73 games, including 33 games played and two starts as a senior. Collins’ Spartan teams won two conference regular season championships and reached national postseason tournaments in three of his four years, advancing to the CBI in 2014-15, the NIT in 2016-17 and the NCAA Tournament in his senior season of 2017-18.
