Biography

At Rider:
Comes to Rider in 2016-17 as a post-graduate, majoring in Business Analytics after earning a Marketing degree from Hofstra University.

2016:

  • 2016 MAAC 2nd Team.
  • Started in all 18 appearances as a back.
  • Scored a goal in her first game as a Bronc in Rider's 6-0 win at Towson.
  • Had an assist in a MAAC win at Sacred Heart.

At Hofstra University:
Three-time NFHCA Scholar Athlete…three-time Colonial Athletic Association Commissioner’s Academic Award recipient…earned a degree in Marketing…midfielder and defender…52-game veteran…was third on the Pride with eight assists leading Hofstra to a 14-6 record in 2015…played in 18 games, making three starts in 2014, recording four assists…played 35 minutes or more in 15 games…played in 16 games (284 minutes) in 2013 as a red-shirt freshman, making two starts at midfield…missed the 2012 season with an injury.

At Eric Hamber Secondary School:
From Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada…five-sport athlete at Eric Hamber Secondary School, playing four years of field hockey and basketball, five years of ringette and one year of both tennis and soccer…received the Griffin Award in field hockey as Most Valuable Player…member of the Under-19 Canada West National Team…played on the 2011 Senior Field Hockey City finalist team and Zone championship squad…member of the 2011 Under-18 National Field Hockey finalists in 2011 and the Under-16 National Field Hockey championship team in 2010…two-time Under-16 National Field Hockey Championship All-Tournament team in 2010 and 2011…played on Senior Basketball City Championship teams in 2010 and 2011…named an Under-16 National Ringette Championships All-Star in 2010…played on the Vancouver Hawks Club Team for 10 years…four year member of the Academic Honor Roll…top scholar as a senior in First Nations…hobbies include snowboarding, wakeboarding, cooking and skating…plays the guitar…daughter of Michael and Eliner Maxwell-Smith, older sister Mie... her father, James, was a Junior Olympics bronze medalist in sailing while her mother, Eliner, played field hockey at the University of British Columbia.
